From jazz and fusion to Latin, trad and contemporary Cuban stylings, it’s hard to pin down pianist Pablo Cardenas. The boundless energy, charisma and rhythms that he brings to the stage are infectious.
The Cuban-born and trained pianist has been called one of the best Cuban pianists of his generation and he is in demand at festivals in Cuba, Canada, Spain and the U.S. Lucky for us, Cardenas now makes his home in Victoria.
He has collaborated with world-class musicians such as Alexis Baro, Phil Dwyer, Ana Velinova and Adonis Puentes.
The performance is part of the Pat’s House of Jazz series that runs most Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Osborne Bay Pub in Crofton, a stone’s throw from the Salt Spring Island ferry terminal.
Table reservations can be made by calling the pub at (250) 324-2245.
Reserved tables will be held until 30 minutes before showtime.
